Laser tattoo removal assists and speeds up the natural fading process by breaking up the large ink particles into smaller nanoparticles that your immune system can more easily remove. Our Duality laser uses two wavelengths of light energy to target the ink particles in your skin and shatter them into smaller fragments.
During a treatment, our Duality laser emits multiple, ultra-fast pulses of light energy onto the unwanted tattoo. The ink particles absorb the light energy, heat up, and shatter into fragmented nanoparticles while the surrounding skin tissue remains unharmed. The smaller fragments of ink are then flushed out by the natural fading process.
This process is repeated over multiple sessions to target the multiple layers of ink in a tattoo. Depending on your desired outcome, the number of treatments needed will vary. On average, most customers need a minimum of 5 to 10 treatments for complete removal and even fewer to fade a tattoo for a cover-up.
Laser treatments are spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart to give your immune system and skin time to heal and flush out the shattered ink. As long as proper aftercare instructions are followed, your skin will heal without any side effects or scarring.
